John was born in Reading during the War.  He was billeted there from London with his mother, aunt and grandmother.  His Aunt Phyl stayed but his mother and grandmother returned to South London where John grew up.  He regularly visited his Reading cousins.  4 girls.  On one snowy Boxing Day John drove his motor bike down for the day when many cars and buses weren’t getting through!  The relationship with the Reading family continued through his marriage to Maureen, the births of his children and his grandchildren.  Almost all parties, weddings, funerals saw the families getting together. Long may it continue but sadly without you John.
